About Chef Mei

My name is Mei Parker. I am the owner of Chef Mei Personal Chef Service, formerly known as Taste of Home Personal Chef Service. I graduated from the Culinary Business Academy in Atlanta and I am a premier member of the United States Personal Chef Association. I am also ServSafe certified. Locally, I belong to the Cumberland County Business Council,  Cumberland County Business Network, The Professional Women of Fayetteville Group, and Kidspeace. My motto in life is “Live to eat and not eat to live!” My passion for cooking started at the age of 11. My first task in the kitchen was to oversee all the mundane chores of peeling onions and garlic. I slowly graduated to more tedious and complicated cooking techniques alongside my mother who has been my soul inspiration.

Through the years I have catered many events from as little as two to a hundred. In between, I have worked in various corporate jobs with the last being in the medical field. My desire to pursue my lifelong interest in the culinary field has finally lead me to starting my own personal chef service. My business is multi-faceted; which in turn has allowed me to explore many ways of providing services to busy executives, businesses, and families. My interest in food and cooking also has enabled me to learn and master cuisines from around the world that provide my clients a better variety.

In the process of being a personal chef, I have also become involved in helping the community through business groups and nonprofit organizations. I have done contributory sponsorship to events such as the wine tasting and silent auction held by the Care Clinic, March of Dimes Signature Chef Auction, Professional Women of Fayetteville Silent Auction, and I am currently involved in helping set up a Wing Cookoff for Kidspeace.  In addition, I write a monthly food article published by a local women’s magazine called Women’s View and I also write a monthly newsletter through my website.

As a personal chef, my goal is to provide quality and excellence to all my customers. Each client is individual and unique and the service I provide is customized as such.Food and cooking are my passion and I want to share my passion with you. Let me be your gateway to healthier eating and entertaining with style.
